Ordinance 01-2025 added Borough Code Chapter 195 'Lead-Based Paint Inspections,' introduced 1/8/2025, public hearing 1/22/2025. Borough-retained lead evaluation contractor inspects by default; owner/landlord may instead directly hire a DCA-certified lead evaluation contractor. NOTE: ordinance text states lead-safe certification 'shall be valid for two (2) years,' which reflects the pre-2024 standard — may be outdated relative to the 2024 c.74 amendment extending validity to 3 years; worth flagging as a discrepancy. Violation penalty: up to $1,000/week after a 30-day cure period.
